Grant Kirkhope - Gameography
Grant Kirkhope is a British video game composer best known for his work with Rare during the Nintendo 64 era. He composed Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark and Banjo-Tooie for the Nintendo 64.
He began his career with Rare in October 1995 where he composed the majority of their titles until his departure in 2008. Kirkhope began freelancing after the release of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts for the Xbox 360.
Since his departure from Rare, Kirkhope has worked with many developers such as Nintendo, Ubisoft and Playtonic Games on games for various consoles. He has been nominated for various BAFTA, ASCAP, and IFMCA awards for his music contribution in video games. He has won the Best Original Score for a Video Game in 2015 for his work on Civilization: Beyond Earth.
